Los Rebeldes, a family band from Minnesota, has been playing music for over 40 years. Originally formed by Raul Sr. and his three sons, they officially became Los Rebeldes in 1983 when they joined with Raul Sr.’s brother-in-law, Jesús (Chuy) Velez. The band has adapted to a contemporary “Tex-Mex” style of music, mixing rock, country, folk, and blues. While different family members have joined and played different instruments, Los Rebeldes remains a family band that keeps the South-of-the-border music tradition alive in the upper Midwest.
